Raymond is an experienced tax counsel with over twenty-five years of extensive experience in real estate, corporate (re)structuring, M&A, private equity investments and estate planning.

Prior to co-founding Tax at Work in 2013, he practiced at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and the real estate group of KPMG Meijburg.

Raymond specialises in real estate development, (re)structuring, real estate investment funds and joint-ventures, Real Estate Transfer Tax, and Value Added Tax in relation to real estate.

He is an active member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB).

Martijn holds a law degree from the University of Leiden and specialises in Dutch and international tax law. Martijn has been practising tax law since 2001. Before co-founding Tax at Work in 2013, Martijn worked for EY and Clifford Chance.

He specialises in the tax aspects of corporate restructurings, M&A transactions, employee/management participations, inbound/outbound investments, and (international) tax planning.

Martijn's clients are mainly privately owned (family) companies in the trading, energy and technology sectors. He also advises private clients (entrepreneurs) on their (international) tax positions. Through his experience at Clifford Chance, Martijn is used to working closely with law firms that do not have in-house tax capabilities.

Suniel Pancham
Partner

Suniel holds a law degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam, specialising in corporate tax law (LLM). He also completed the post-master curriculum in European tax law at the same institution.

He specialises in the Dutch, EU, Pillar 2, and international tax aspects of cross-border corporate transactions, M&A, private equity, financing transactions, transfer pricing and international tax planning.

Suniel is the author of several books and (academic) articles on Dutch corporate tax law, international tax law and EU tax law. He also lectures on corporate tax law and EU tax law at various institutions and is a frequent speaker on international tax issues.

He is an active member of our Kazakhstan and China Desk, as well as the Surinam and Caribbean Desk. Furthermore, Suniel is a member of the Dutch Association for Tax Science. (Vereniging voor Belastingwetenschap), the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB), and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

Hans is an attorney at law and tax counsel. He graduated in Dutch tax law with a specialisation in international tax law, as well as Dutch law with a specialisation in corporate law from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in 1997.

From 1997 to 2020, Hans worked for Loeff Claeys Verbeke (Jakarta office July - October 1999) / Allen & Overy, NautaDutilh, and Keijzer Drijer Priester & van der Stoel.

He has extensive experience in various aspects of international taxation, including tax planning, M&A, private equity and venture capital, finance transactions, CIT, Pillar 2, VAT, public benefit institutions, transfer pricing, as well as corporate debt restructuring and insolvency. His clients include several oil and gas, listed, and privately owned companies. Hans also advises various types of funds on their Dutch and international tax positions.

Hans was a visiting lecturer at the University of Nijenrode - MBA International Tax Law from 2000 to 2005, and also at the University of Indonesia - International Tax Law, in December 2005. Hans is the author of several articles on Dutch corporate income tax and international tax treaty law.

Partner 

Marco graduated in Dutch tax law at Tilburg University in 1999. He gained professional experience working at Loyens & Loeff in The Hague and Rotterdam before establishing himself as an independent VAT specialist in 2007. His expertise lies in indirect taxes, with a particular focus on international VAT practice and VAT fiscal representation. His client portfolio includes both traders of goods as well as international holding, finance, and royalty companies.

Wendy Houben
Senior Tax Counsel

Wendy graduated from the University of Maastricht in 1997 with a degree in tax law, specialising in international tax law. She worked for more than ten years as an attorney at law and tax counsel for renowned firms including NautaDutilh (Rotterdam, NYC) and DLA Piper (Amsterdam). She then gained extensive experience as an in-house tax specialist at one of the largest pension providers, where she worked for more than fourteen years.

She specialises in the tax aspects of M&A, financing transactions, transfer pricing, holding structures, charities and the implementation and monitoring of internal control measures. In relation to the latter, she has successfully completed the Tax Assurance Programme at Nyenrode Business University.

Wendy has written several articles on tax treaty law for international tax bulletins and is a member of the Kazakh desk.

Jos is a highly experienced tax counsel with over 35 years of experience in the field of VAT and Real Estate Transfer Tax.

Wilco Overink

Wilco graduated as a tax counsel (Federation of Tax Advisers) in 1984. He worked for 10 years for the predecessors of today's PwC and subsequently spent 12 years with NautaDutilh as a tax manager. In this role, he led a team responsible for overseeing the tax compliance matters of the department's client portfolio.

For the past 16 years, Wilco has resided and worked in Ontario, Canada, gaining expertise in local income tax. In early 2023, he joined our team to assist with our growing tax compliance practice.
